Choose a shade that’s as close as possible to your natural hair around halfway down the strand, rather than matching the roots or ends.

How many Genius Weft packs do I need?
How many Genius Weft packs do I need?
The number of packs you need depends on your natural hair thickness and the amount of length and volume you want. Fewer packs may be suitable for adding subtle fullness, while a fuller transformation may require more. Your stylist can recommend the right number of packs based on your natural hair density, desired result and preferred hairstyle.

How long do they last and do they need maintenance?
Genius Weft Extensions require regular professional maintenance as your natural hair grows. Your stylist will recommend when your extensions need to be maintained based on your natural hair growth, installation method and the condition of the extensions. With proper care and professional maintenance, the hair can be reused, provided it remains in good condition.

Will they damage my natural hair or slip out?
When professionally installed, correctly maintained and properly cared for, Genius Weft Extensions are designed to sit securely and comfortably against your natural hair. Correct sectioning and placement are important to make sure the natural hair can properly support the weft and to avoid unnecessary tension.
If you notice the weft becoming loose or slipping, avoid pulling or adjusting it yourself and contact your stylist so it can be checked.
How do I wash and care for my extensions?
How do I wash and care for my extensions?
A consistent aftercare routine will help keep your natural hair and extensions soft, smooth and looking their best.
Always:
- Use sulphate-free and alcohol-free hair products.
- Wash your hair gently and avoid rough scrubbing around the roots and attachment areas.
- Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only.
- Keep conditioner and oils away from the roots and attachment points.
- Brush gently, starting from the ends and working upwards.
- Use an extensions-friendly brush.
- Apply heat protectant before using hot tools.
- Make sure your roots and extensions are completely dry after washing.
For best results:
- Avoid washing your hair every day where possible.
- Wash your hair in a downward direction to help prevent tangling.
- Allow your hair to dry completely before going to bed.
- Loosely braid or tie your hair before sleeping.
- Attend your professional maintenance appointments as recommended.
Can I sleep, swim, style or colour my extensions?
Can I sleep, swim, style or colour my extensions?
Yes, but a little extra care will help protect the hair and attachment points.
Sleep: Loosely braid or tie your hair before bed and never sleep with wet or damp hair.
Swim: We recommend avoiding swimming where possible. Chlorine and salt water can dry out the hair and affect the condition of the extensions. If your hair gets wet, rinse thoroughly with fresh water afterwards.
Style: Yes! Genius Weft Extensions are made from 100% Remy human hair, so you can curl, straighten and style them. Always use heat protectant and keep direct heat away from the roots and attachment areas.
Colour: We recommend choosing the closest shade before installation and avoiding chemical processing where possible. Never bleach or lighten the extensions. If you choose to tone or colour them, speak with your stylist first and always strand test. Colouring is done at your own risk and may affect the quality and lifespan of the hair.
Can I style Genius Weft extensions with hot tools?
Can I style Genius Weft extensions with hot tools?
Yes. Genius Weft extensions are made from 100% Remy human hair, so they can be styled with hot tools. Always use a heat protectant and avoid applying heat directly to the roots or extension attachments.
