Our Story: From Salon to Factory "We did everything right. Except we didn’t control the source. So we changed that."
In 2002, I left Yorkshire, UK and set out on a new adventure to New Zealand. Two years later, my wife, Faith, and I opened Superior Hair Salon with one simple goal: to help people feel confident in their own skin.
We saw the difference that high-quality hair extensions could make. Whether it was a woman wanting longer, fuller hair, a man struggling with hair loss, or a cancer patient facing the effects of chemotherapy. But finding consistent, reliable hair was a constant challenge.
We did everything we could, visited factories, gave detailed instructions, even paid extra; but the quality still wasn’t where it needed to be. That’s when we knew: if we wanted to deliver the best, we had to take control of production ourselves.
In 2013, we opened our own factory in Qingdao, China, Faith’s hometown. It gave us control over every stage of production, from sourcing the hair to the finished product. Since then, our reputation has grown, not from flashy marketing, but from word-of-mouth and consistently high standards. We know the struggle and that is why it is our goal to help others achieve theirs.
