The number of packs you need depends on your natural hair thickness and the amount of length and volume you want to achieve.

As a general guide, 1 to 2 packs may be suitable for adding subtle fullness, colour or a partial application. 2 to 4 packs may be suitable for a fuller look. These are general guidelines rather than a guaranteed amount. Your stylist can recommend the right number of packs based on your natural hair and desired result.

Genius Butterfly Weft has a flat, flexible base designed to sit close to the scalp. The butterfly hole design also allows the attachment points to be distributed across the natural hair.

Genius Butterfly Weft is a refined take on the original Butterfly Weft, designed with a discreet, flexible base and pre-punched butterfly holes for microbead installation.

Your stylist uses two holes for each silicone-lined microbead to attach the weft, then flips the weft over so the attachment points are hidden beneath the weft. Unlike traditional weft methods, it does not require sewing, glue or tape.

Genius Butterfly Weft is installed using silicone-lined microbeads. Your stylist threads a section of your natural hair through the pre-punched holes, secures it with a microbead and then flips the weft over to conceal the attachment.

While the Genius Butterfly Weft is designed for quick and easy application, we don’t recommend installing it on yourself—even if you’re trained or experienced. For best results (and to protect your natural hair!), it’s always best to have a salon professional do the install.

Yes. Genius Butterfly Weft extensions are made from 100% Remy human hair and can be styled with hot tools. Always use a heat protectant and avoid applying heat directly to the roots or bead area.

Choose a shade that’s as close as possible to your natural hair around halfway down the strand, rather than matching the roots or ends.

Human hair extensions can technically be coloured or toned, but because the hair has already been processed, we strongly recommend choosing the closest shade initially and avoiding chemical processing wherever possible.

Any colouring is done at your own risk and may affect the quality and lifespan of the hair.

We recommend avoiding swimming while wearing your extensions. Salt water and pool chemicals can dry and tangle the hair and may affect the condition of your extensions and attachment points.

If your extensions accidentally get wet, rinse your hair with fresh water as soon as possible and use a leave-in conditioner or conditioning spray if needed.
